A dermatologist reviews your skin with 2D Mark-Vu analysis and asks about your cycle, medications, skincare and relevant health conditions to understand the pattern of your breakouts.

Safety, risks and aftercare
Most acne treatments are well tolerated, but side effects are possible. Your dermatologist will explain the risks of your specific plan.
- Temporary redness, sensitivity or mild swelling after extraction, peels, laser or RF.
- Potenza can cause redness and fine crusting for about 1 to 3 days.
- TA injections can occasionally cause a temporary small dent or lighter patch at the injection site.
- Isotretinoin must not be taken during pregnancy or when trying to conceive, and needs regular doctor supervision.
- Hormone-related acne often returns while its triggers persist, so results vary and maintenance may be needed.
- Please tell us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning pregnancy, and about all medications, including hormonal contraception.

Can I have acne treatment while pregnant or trying to conceive?
Some acne treatments are not suitable during pregnancy, and isotretinoin must not be used. Please tell us if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning pregnancy so your dermatologist can recommend a suitable approach.
Will my hormonal acne come back after treatment?
It may. Hormone-related acne often recurs while the triggers remain, so we plan for long-term control rather than a one-off fix, with a skincare routine and maintenance sessions if needed. Results vary.
