What is medical dermatology at Liftique, and is it right for me?

Medical dermatology at Liftique treats skin conditions rather than purely cosmetic goals: acne and acne scars, moles, warts and skin tags, eczema, rosacea, melasma and other pigmentation. Two board-certified dermatologists diagnose first, then plan treatment with published prices from ₩10,000 (VAT excl.). The clinic is a 2-minute walk from Sinsa Station Exit 4, with consultations in English, Chinese and Japanese.

Doctor-led care for the skin concerns that matter to you

Some skin concerns are more than cosmetic. Persistent acne, scarring, changing moles, recurring redness or itchy flare-ups deserve a proper medical assessment. At Liftique Dermatology Clinic, opened in January 2025, every plan is led by a board-certified dermatologist.

We start with diagnosis, using 2D Mark-Vu skin analysis and 3D EVE MUSE facial analysis where helpful, then recommend only what your skin needs. Prices are published, exclude 10% VAT, and your final cost is confirmed at consultation.

Many of our patients visit from abroad. We plan around your travel dates and can follow up by photo after you fly home.

Safety, risks and aftercare

Every medical treatment carries some risk. Before you start, your dermatologist explains the expected benefits, likely side effects and alternatives for your skin.

  • Temporary redness, swelling or mild discomfort are common after laser and injection treatments and usually settle on their own.
  • Less common effects can include bruising, crusting, infection, scarring or changes in skin colour. Tell us promptly about anything unexpected.
  • Acne, rosacea, eczema and melasma are long-term conditions and may need ongoing care.
  • A new, changing or irregular mole or spot is examined before any removal or cosmetic treatment.
  • Results vary from person to person, and we will tell you honestly what is realistic.
  • Share your medical history, medicines, allergies and any pregnancy with your doctor.

Medical skincare FAQs

What is the difference between medical and cosmetic skincare?

Medical skincare treats skin conditions such as acne, scars, moles, warts, eczema, rosacea and pigmentation disorders. Cosmetic skincare focuses on goals like lifting and skin quality. Many patients combine both, and our dermatologists can advise on the order.

Who will treat me?

Your care is led by our board-certified dermatologists, Dr. Yong-yon Won (Director) and Dr. Sangmyung Park, both Adjunct Professors at Kyung Hee University.

Can I be treated in English?

Yes. Consultations are available in English, Chinese and Japanese, and you can message us on WhatsApp in English at +82-10-8078-3829 before your visit.

How much do medical skincare treatments cost?

Prices depend on the treatment. For example, CO2 laser removal starts from ₩20,000 per lesion under 2mm, café-au-lait spot treatment from ₩70,000 per session, and rosacea laser and laser toning from ₩290,000 per session, all excluding 10% VAT.

Does insurance cover medical dermatology visits?

We cannot promise coverage, as it depends on your insurer and the type of care. Please ask us whether insurance applies to medical visits, and check with your insurer before you travel.

Do treatments hurt?

Most medical skincare treatments involve only mild discomfort. Numbing cream, nerve block and oral analgesics are available at no extra cost, and sleep sedation is ₩200,000 where required, with an 8-hour fast.

Can I have treatment during a short trip?

Many treatments can be started during a short stay, while others, such as rosacea or pigmentation lasers, work as a series. Send your photos and travel dates on WhatsApp and we will suggest a realistic plan, with photo follow-up after you fly home.

Where is the clinic and when is it open?
